How do I make the application?
As soon as a student enrolls in a study program, he/she is supervised by the university to begin the visa application process.
The necessary documents for the visa application process are listed below:
- First page (identity page) copies of a valid passport.
- Proof of your financial support.
- Photos suitable for a passport (35 mm x 45 mm; refer to the IND specifications in the accompanying PDF for details).
- Verification of tuition fee and visa application payment.
- Verification of accommodation arranged for 1 academic year.

Types of Visas
- MVV (Provisional Residence Permit)
- VVR (Residence Permit)
MVV (Provisional Residence Permit) is an entry visa. On the other hand, VVR (Residence Permit) is an ID card that is used as your study visa. So, if you intend to stay for more than three months for the purposes to study in the Netherlands, you must apply for a residence permit (VVR).

Settlement: Several requirements are there for the permanent residence permit, which includes
- Reach the universally applicable standards.
- To apply, you must show that your resident permit has been valid for at least five years in a row. The standard residency requirement of five years is only sometimes applicable.
- All the way up to the age of eight is when the five-year period begins. Applying for a permanent residence permit as a minor requires that the applicant be at least thirteen years old and have held a valid residence permit since the age of eight.
- Your principal place of residence was in the Netherlands for the whole five years. You satisfy all the standard criteria.
- You can prove that you’ve been a permanent resident of the Netherlands for the last five years running. The standard 5-year residency requirement does not apply in all cases.
- To be eligible for the 5-year term, years must begin at 8. Only minors who have held a valid residence permit since the age of eight are eligible to apply for a permanent residence permit; applicants must also be thirteen.
- Throughout the whole five years, the Netherlands was your primary residence.
- Timely extensions of your residency permit have always been your norm.
- Your residency permit conditions have always been satisfied. Furthermore, you are still qualified to do so.
- Your residency permit is now valid for an extended period.
- When you applied for your present residence permit, you did not omit facts or give false information. You would only have passed the application review if you provided complete and accurate information.
- You can fulfil the income criteria.
- You will be entered into the Personal Records Database at the municipal hall where you reside, known as the Basisregistratie Personen (BRP) in Dutch. The Dutch population registry is known as the BRP.
